Since the beginning of November, Louise Bjurenvall has taken over as the new Commercial Manager of Resize Design. With extensive experience from the hotel, conference and coworking industry, she is now stepping into the world of design – a step that feels just right.

Can you tell us a little about your background and professional journey up to today?

I have worked in the hotel and conference industry for over 25 years, and it has been a fantastically fun journey! I have had various roles, including Regional Sales Manager at Svenska Möten, Key Account Manager at Nordic Choice Hotels (now Strawberry) and Sales Manager at Copperhill Mountain Lodge in Åre.
Most recently, I come from 7A, where I was Sales and Marketing Manager. 7A is one of Europe’s largest coworking players, with offices, conference and event spaces in central Stockholm.

You have been a customer of ours before – how did you experience it?

Yes, that’s right! 7A has collaborated with Resize Design for almost ten years, and it was also there that I got to know Viktor and Vita. I clearly remember what a professional, humble and solution-oriented impression they made right from the start. They have always had a very good understanding of the customer’s needs and delivered with speed, quality and sensitivity. It was a collaboration that really worked — and that made an impression.

Was there anything in particular that made an impression on you as a customer?

What really distinguished Resize Design was their combination of creativity and structure. They always listened to our needs, understood our visions and found solutions that were both aesthetically pleasing and practically feasible.
There was also a genuine warmth and commitment to the collaboration — you could feel that they really cared about the result and that they wanted to do their very best for us as a customer.

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?

I am really looking forward to developing Resize Design’s business and contributing to putting the company even more clearly on the map in hospitality and coworking. There is enormous potential in combining design, sustainability and business value, and that is exactly the kind of challenge I am passionate about.
In addition, it feels great to be part of a competent, committed and cordial team – a small office with a big heart!

Which experiences from your previous work do you think will be most useful here?

Above all, my understanding of the hotel and conference industry, where I have built up a large network and a deep insight into the customers’ everyday lives and needs.
I also have extensive experience in sales, business development and relationship building, which I believe will be valuable in our ambition to grow and create more long-term collaborations.

How did the first week at the new job feel?

Very good! I have received a fantastic welcome and already feel like part of the gang. It is a positive, knowledgeable and professional group of people with a lot of energy. I’m soaking up all the information like a sponge right now – there’s a lot of new things to learn, and I like that!

What do you hope to develop in the future?

I hope to be able to contribute to strengthening Resize Design’s brand, both through new customer relationships and more collaborations in the industry. I also want to develop our concepts and offerings, so that we continue to be at the forefront of sustainable and well-thought-out interior design solutions.

How would you describe yourself in three words?

Positive, enthusiastic and driven.

Is there anything you are a little extra passionate about?

I am passionate about customer focus and business development – creating value by understanding the customer’s needs for real. I believe that long-term success is based on strong relationships, responsiveness and always delivering that little extra.
Sustainability and design are also very close to my heart – I love to see how well-thought-out interior design can affect both people and results.

Do you have any funny or unexpected talent?

I’m actually very good at remembering people and details – which is an invaluable talent in my job!
